Paulo Bruno Alves nasceu em Viseu em 1977. É Licenciado em Comunicação Social pelo Instituto Politécnico de Viseu, mestre em História Ibero-Americana pela Universidade Portucalense. Doutorou-se em Ciências da Comunicação (especialidade de História da Comunicação), pela Faculdade de Letras da Universidade de Coimbra, com a tese: «A Imprensa Católica e a Primeira República: do fim do jornal A Palavra (1911) ao Concílio Plenário Português (1926)». É investigador do Centro de Estudos de História Religiosa. Tem investigado e produzido trabalhos sobre a Imprensa Católica na época contemporânea.

Paulo Bruno Alves was born in Viseu in 1977. He graduated in Social Communication from the Polytechnic Institute of Viseu, master in Ibero-American History from the Portucalense University. He received a doctorate in Communication Sciences (specialization in History of Communication) from the Faculty of Letters of the University of Coimbra, with the thesis: "The Catholic Press and the First Republic: From the end of the newspaper The Word (1911) to the Portuguese Plenary Council (1926). He is a researcher at the Center for the Study of Religious History. He has investigated and produced works on the Catholic Press in contemporary times.
