Francisco José Senra Coelho nasceu em 1961. Fez a sua formação sacerdotal no Seminário Maior de Évora e no ISTE, concluindo os seus estudos filosóficos no Pontifício Ateneu Antoniano e teológicos na Pontifícia Universidade Salesiana. Licenciou-se em História da Igreja na Pontifícia Universidade Gregoriana, em Roma, onde concluiu também o curriculum para o doutoramento - curriculum ad lauream, ou 3.º Ciclo da Faculdade de História Eclesiástica e em História Civil na Phoenix International University (PIU-UK), na qual obteve o doutoramento com a Tese Monseigneur Augusto Eduardo Nunes, Archbishop of Évora (1850-1920): From the University of Coimbra to Archbishop of Évora in the Context of the First Republica. É professor de História da Igreja no Instituto Superior de Teologia de Évora e pároco na mesma cidade. É membro da Sociedade Científica da Universidade Católica Portuguesa e do Cabido da Basílica Metropolitana de Évora e Académico correspondente da Academia Portuguesa da História. É membro do CEHR.

Francisco Senra Coelho was born in 1961.
